Over movie reflection:
We shot the movie in three different places, first of all we started at Shaik Zayed mosque were I filmed myself doing the video introduction. Then Abdullah started interviewing some tourists. I helped in putting the questions. We had a problem with the sound because we didn't have a microphone at the time. Then we filmed in the desert falconry. After that we had Fahad talk about falconry. The second artifact was fenyal and della explained by Abdullah. At last we interviewed Khaled and asked him about his thoughts. The video in my  opinion was good but had a problem with the sound. And it could be better if we added subtitles.

Brown eyes vs blue eyes; Reflection
The video we watched about discrimination is about a teacher who tried an experiment on her students. One time she favored the blue eyed students over the brown eyed. The blue eyed students started being mean to the brown eyed, but when she tried it the other way around. She was surprised because the brown eyed started being mean to the blue eyed even though they have experienced the feeling of discrimination. Later after many years the students had a reunion with their teacher. They said that by the experiment they understood the real meaning of discrimination.

Culture: the shared values, history, customs etc of a people.

Diversity: differences e.g. race, gender, economic status, religion etc.

Cultural diversity: a multicultural society where it is understood that each individual is different re. race, gender, economic status, religion, physical abilities etc. When this occurs we have social harmony i.e. peaceful co-existence of people from different backgrounds. In such a society there will be cross-cultural communication, where people from differing backgrounds can communicate and avoid conflicts and can even adopt aspects of other cultures i.e. acculturation. In this type of society there will be a widely-shared belief in human rights, basic freedoms which belong to all people regardless of colour, language, religion etc.

Bias: if you are biased, it means you have an idea that someone or something is superior to another for no logical reasons. It is similar to prejudice, even. Good.  Racial prejudice in apartheid south Africa.

Culture shock: This is when you find aspects of another cultures so different from your own.

Demographics: The study of the population and it's component parts .

Discrimination: There was racial discrimination in apartheid south Africa.  N.B. blue eyes vs brown eyes.

Ethnic group: It's a group which shares similar race, religion, language, whatever.

Ethnocentricity: It's looking at the world from your own ethnic point of view; it implies that your ethnicity is superior.

Expatriate: Someone from one country living and working in another; not a tourist, not a businessman on a short visit.
